Friends of B.I.S
The Friends of B.I.S. is a state-registered and charitable organization that helps the Berlin International School become an even greater place. Since 1998, Friends of B.I.S., with the support of so many parents, has equipped the school with items that are beyond the already high standard. Donations, fundraisers and the regular membership fees have enabled the Friends of B.I.S. to buy many extras - for all parts of the school.
Apart from regular meetings, the Friends of B.I.S. plays an active role in the school’s community. Get-togethers take place in different venues in Berlin such as the American Academy, the China Club or C|O Berlin with the intention to connect parents at B.I.S. and invite teachers and school’s representatives to give insight into their work with the students. The Silent Auction – the main fundraiser at B.I.S. - has become the social highlight of the season.
Additionaly, Friends of B.I.S. also pursues a social policy, which means, in cases of necessity, it can provide financial help to students for class or sport trips.
