All day school

Berlin International School is a state recognized private day school which was established in 1998 under the umbrella of Private Kant-Schule e.V. As a state recognized school, we ensure that the Berlin curriculum goals are being met. The Berlin curriculum is enriched and driven by the Primary Years Programme of the International Baccalaureate Organization.

Most of our classroom instruction happens in English. Students of the primary school have between 29 and 36 teaching periods per week. These lessons include Language Arts, Math, Units of Inquiry (Social Studies- Social Sciences), Art, Music, Physical Education, and computer skills, as well as English or German as a Foreign Language. Lunch is cooked on site and served in the Cafeteria.

Presently students of approx. 68 different nations attend our school. German students make up the largest number followed by North Americans and Asians. Our teaching staff comes from 16 English speaking countries, as well as Germany. The school campus is centrally located in a pretty suburban area of south-west Berlin, Dahlem.
