Admissions Policy

Serving international educational needs

The Berlin International School exists primarily to serve the international educational needs of the national and international community of Berlin/Brandenburg. In general, admission is open to all students who can profit from a challenging, international, university preparatory education.

Prior to being considered for admission to the School, students must file a complete application and submit all documentation as required by the admissions office. The School will decide upon the admission of a student.

Our curriculum embraces an intentionally international perspective to learning for students in our Primary (IB Primary Years Programme) and Middle School Programs, as well as for those in our IGCSE and IB Diploma Programs. Students thrive in this lively mix of cultures, traditions, and ideas. We encourage them to take full advantage of the opportunities available to them in academics, and also in athletics, community service and other extracurricular activities. By mastering challenges both in and beyond the classroom, our students acquire the skills and experience to succeed on every level, and they form friendships that will last for years.
