As part of the »Day of the Open Monument«, we cordially invite all interested persons to our guided tours through »Haus Dahlem« from 10.00 to 12.30.

»House Dahlem« was opened in 1923 by the »Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus at Hiltrup« as a hospital for infants and children and as a maternity home for »gefallene Mädchen« or »fallen girls« (unmarried pregnant women). In 1938 it was converted into an infants’, mothers’ and maternity home, which, until its closure in 1971, was one of the city‘s most respected maternity clinics. From 1971, the building served as an office for the Berlin Senate‘s Department of Environmental Protection. Since 2003 it has been the home of our Berlin International School‘s Primary section.

Further exciting information about the »Day of the Open Monument« can be found at Denkmaltag.berlin.de.

We look forward to your visit!
